Harford Mutual Insurance Group Scholarship

The purpose of the Fund will be to provide support for merit-based student scholarships. Recipient(s) will be selected based on merit, as demonstrated by factors such as UB/community leadership roles and community service. Merit and recipient selection will be determined by the Dean of the Merrick School of Business or their designee.

Recipients must also meet the following criteria:

a. Student enrolled in the Risk Management and Insurance Specialization
b. Preference given to Harford Mutual Insurance Group Employee(s) or their family member(s)
c. Harford Mutual Scholarship finalist will be eligible to apply for an internship with Harford Mutual

Should the funds available exceed the recipients tuition and fees, any remaining funds may be used for books, transportation/parking costs, or experiential learning opportunities provided to students within the specialization.
