Bronfein Scholars Fund
This scholarship will provide support for the most academically qualified eligible undergraduate student, in their junior or senior year, who is majoring in accounting or finance at the Merrick School of Business. Candidates may be full or part time, but must have demonstrated financial need per FAFSA. Recipients must have and maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher. A full time student may receive the award for up to three years, and a part time student may receive the award for up to six years, as long as all listed criteria continue to be met.
This scholarship will provide up to $10,000 annually in tuition fees and expenses. Recipients are eligible to receive a full tuition and fee waiver, a textbook stipend, and a laptop with accounting software. In addition, recipients will be given the opportunities for business school advising upon admission, a designated faculty mentor in accounting or finance, introduction to all Center for Student Involvement leadership programs, eligibility for membership in the Helen P. Denit Honors Program (including opportunities for service learning and study abroad programs), an internship in an accounting or finance related position at the conclusion of the student’s junior year, membership in Beta Alpha Psi, career coaching from the Career and Professional Development Center, industry mentorship from the Accounting Advisory Board (external professionals in the field of accounting), and career coaching (including resume review, interview support, and job placement assistance) from the Career and Professional Development Center throughout the student’s fourth academic year.
