SECU 2025 Foundation Scholarship

SECU is awarding $10,000 scholarships to students attending any of Maryland’s 16 community colleges who are transferring to a University System of Maryland school for the 2025-2026 academic year.

We will award twelve scholarships for a total of $120,000 in scholarship awards. Students that have transferred from a Maryland community college to a University System of Maryland school in the last 18 months are also eligible. Please share this in newsletters, social media, with students and wherever else it fits!

Applications for the 2025 Scholarship Program are being accepted from February 18 – May 2.

With lower tuition rates, smaller class sizes, and individualized student support, community colleges are a popular and financially responsible choice for savvy Maryland students. In 2023, 24% of all new students to University System of Maryland schools were transfer students from Maryland community colleges.
